Verizon sucks

We are trying to set up a VPN connection for a customer to connect his remote branch. The customer has a frac T1 through verizon. They have a Netopia router that nobody knows anything about.

Verizon says it's not their responsibility to program the router
We don't even have access to get into the router
Netopia says Verizon is going to have to come off some info for anyone to program that router.

It amazes me how people get shit done in this world. First of all, you have an idiot customer that just writes a check blindly to Verizon or whomever sets up their network. All they know is that it works....not how it works. This seems to be a growing trend in America. Is nobody interested in how shit works anymore? They just want it to work.

Next, you have Verizon that is more than happy to take the customer's check. They are more than obliged to cash that check, but ask them for help and it's "It's not our responsibility to program routers".

Top the whole situation off with a boss that understands about 3% of the technical shit you say to him and you have a fun day. I hate my fucking job.

1.) Someone had to program that router
2.) Someone must know the password to get into it
3.) Someone should know how to set up a VPN at that location
